BASIC
SETTING.
This
Session analyzes the connections and the basic settings required
to operate the DPS24. Additional procedures required to create
a new Project and to switch the DPS24 off (Shutdown) are also
explained...
Note that when the DPS24 is switched on for the first time a default
Project is already loaded, so that creating a new Project is not
strictly required.
TRACK
RECORD .
This Session shows how to record a signal on one of the DPS24
tracks...
The DPS24 can record up
to 24 tracks simultaneously. Input sources can be freely selected
among the many available input options: - 12 analog channels inputs;
- Stereo Aux analog input; - 8 digital inputs in ADAT Optical
format; - Stereo digital input in S/PDIF format. If more digital
inputs are required, the optional IB-24ADT board features two
additional ADAT Optical I/O connectors for a total of 24 digital
input channels.
PLAYBACK.
This Session shows how to play back the DPS24 tracks by controlling
the related return levels...
Up
to 24 tracks can be simultaneously reproduced by the DPS24. Two
different fader banks allow to assign moving faders 1-12 to tracks
1-12 or to tracks 13-24 for levels control.
DYNAMICS
& EQ.
This Session shows how to modify the channel dynamics processor
and equalizer settings...
Each
input and track return channel features a 3-band Equalizer, a
Dynamic processor (Compressor/Expander) and a Noise Gate.
AUX
SEND .
This Session shows how to use an auxiliary send to apply effects
to the recorded tracks...
The
DPS24 four aux sends are assigned by default to the four internal
effect processors. As an alterntive they can be used to send signals
to external outboard through the rear panel AUX SEND connectors.
LOAD
PROJECT .
This Session shows how to load a Project from the internal
Hard Disk...
The
DPS24 doesn't require a specific Save Project procedure because
the Hard Disk files are constantly updated when changes occur.
AK.SYS.
TRACKVIEW.
This Session gives an overview of the AK.SYS. TrackView software...
The
AK.SYS. TrackView software can display on a large computer monitor
the DPS24 Project cues with their waveforms, in addition to metering,
track status, TimeCode position and other Project details.
EXTRA
SESSIONS.
In addition to Main Sessions, several Extra Session are also provided
including subjects like "RESET MIXER", "RESET CHANNEL",
"HD FORMAT", "TRACK ASSIGN", "EFFECT
SELECT ", "LOCATORS"...
There
is also a "MOVING FADERS" Virtual Experience Session
where you will be free to press all DPS24 Fader Bank buttons,
exploring and understanding different fader controls.
